CDFI 101: CDFI Basics

In this training, NCRC’s National Training Academy will define the basic concepts of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI’s). Participants will learn how CDFI’s came to be in the US, impacts of CDFI’s, the products and services offered, the seven criteria required for CDFI certification, funding and resources, and will have opportunities to consider where their organization fits to lay the foundation and answer questions about whether CDFI certification or some other CDFI affiliation option is the best way to proceed.
