Becoming A HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agency
There are many things to take into consideration when aiming to become a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling agency. Organizations may apply as a Local Housing Counseling Agency, Intermediary, Multi-state organization, or as a state housing finance agency. How does an agency determine which entity best describes them? What services should a housing counseling agency provide to their community? Are there any services a housing counseling agency should not offer? What should be included in the Work Plan? These questions and many more will be discussed in this informative two day course.
Participants will leave with a thorough understanding of the criteria and recognize the requirements agencies must meet to receive HUD approval.
